Why Hire a Kitchen Designer in Longmont CO?
Kitchen Design in Longmont CO
Longmont has strong kitchen design options. Tharp Custom Cabinetry has manufactured Colorado cabinets since 1971. Classic Cabinets and Design serves Boulder County with authorized dealer relationships. Cabinet IQ offers 3D renderings and full installation. None of them visit your Longmont home first. At Kitchens Elevated an NKBA Member designer visits your home, designs around how your household actually cooks and lives, and specifies every cabinet and finish before a single order is placed.
We Know Longmont Homes
Longmont sits in Boulder County, a short drive from our Boulder showroom. That proximity makes the design process easier for Longmont homeowners, with showroom visits that fit into a regular trip into town.
The housing across Longmont stretches from late 1800s brick homes near downtown to newer suburban builds along the western edge of the city. Our designer works across all of it.
Each home type shapes the design differently. A late 1800s home near Roosevelt Park carries narrow walls, original windows, and proportions that demand custom cabinet sizing. A 1960s ranch in Prairie Village or Stoney Ridge brings low ceilings and closed off layouts. A 2015 home in Hilltop Village has open footprints and bigger expectations. We design for the home in front of us, not a one size fits all plan.
Colorado’s dry climate and high altitude also shape what works in a Longmont kitchen. Real wood needs proper finishing and acclimation. South facing kitchens see strong sun that can shift finishes over time. We factor those details into the design from the start.
Kitchens Elevated works across every part of Longmont. We design kitchens near the Longmont Museum and Left Hand Brewing Company in the historic core, through the mid century blocks of Prairie Village and Stoney Ridge, in the established neighborhoods of Fox Hill and Kiteley, in the newer homes of Hilltop Village, and out toward McIntosh Lake and the rural pockets around Hygiene.

Every kitchen design project in Longmont follows a clear, designer led process from your first in home visit to the final cabinet order.

1: Design Consultation
We visit your Longmont home and spend real time in the kitchen. We measure, assess, and listen carefully before making a single recommendation. No obligation, no pressure.

2: Tailored Planning and Selections
We build out the full design including layout, cabinetry, finishes, hardware, and storage. You visit our Boulder showroom at 1600 38th St, about 25 minutes via CO 119, to see door styles and finishes in person before any decision is committed to.

3: Remodeling and Installation
We handle the detailed cabinet specification and source every piece through our curated vendor network. For Longmont homeowners taking on a full remodel, we coordinate alongside your contractor through demolition, construction, and final install. At completion every cabinet is reviewed against the original specification.

Neighborhoods We Serve Across Longmont CO
Our designer works with Longmont homeowners across every part of the city. Each neighborhood brings its own home types, layouts, and design needs, and we adjust the approach to fit.
Stoney Ridge: A mid century neighborhood with classic ranch homes from the 1950s and 1960s. Compact kitchens, low ceilings, and closed off layouts are common. Our designs open sight lines where possible and rework storage to match how families cook today.
Hilltop Village: Newer homes with open floor plans, taller ceilings, and larger kitchen footprints. We design here to elevate builder grade kitchens with custom cabinetry, smarter islands, and finishes that match the rest of the home.
Prairie Village: A quiet established neighborhood with a strong mid century footprint. Many homeowners here keep the kitchen’s footprint but want a full design rethink. We rework layout, cabinetry, and storage without forcing a structural overhaul.
Kiteley: An established suburban pocket with homes from the 1980s and 1990s. Cabinets are usually original and finishes feel dated. Our design work refreshes the whole kitchen with custom cabinetry and current finish selections.
Fox Hill: A mature neighborhood near the heart of Longmont with a mix of older and updated homes. Our designs balance respect for the home’s character with the function modern families need every day.
Hygiene and the Rural Edge: Homes spread across the rural pockets out toward Hygiene tend to be larger, with stronger ties to the landscape. We design kitchens that connect to the views, use natural materials, and plan storage for country living.
Historic Longmont Near Roosevelt Park and the Longmont Museum: The historic homes in this part of the city date to the late 1800s and early 1900s. Our designs respect original windows, walls, and details while bringing the kitchen into the present with smart layout and custom cabinet sizing.
Beyond These Neighborhoods: We also design kitchens for homeowners across the rest of Longmont, including the homes near McIntosh Lake, Left Hand Brewing Company, and throughout Boulder County and the surrounding Front Range.
