Designed Around How You Live

Your Trusted Partner for a Kitchen Remodel in Lakewood Co

A kitchen remodel should do more than refresh your home. It should make the space work for the way you actually cook, gather, and live. We take the time to understand your routine, your style, and your goals before we design a single cabinet run.

When you choose us for a kitchen remodel in Lakewood, you get a partner who listens first, collaborates throughout, and keeps the process calm from start to finish. Here is what that looks like in practice:

Transparent Pricing: Clear estimates with no hidden costs.
Custom & Semi-Custom Cabinets: Tailored storage solutions to fit your space and style.
Expert Fixture and Finish Guidance: Helping you select plumbing fixtures, lighting, and finishes that complement your vision.
Sustainable Materials: Eco-friendly options like reclaimed wood and low-VOC finishes.
Certified Quality Craftsmanship: NKBA-approved standards for lasting quality and elegance.

From the first measurement to the final installed cabinet, our team brings clarity to a process that can otherwise feel chaotic. We design, we source, and we coordinate the order so nothing falls through the cracks.

Local Knowledge, Real Numbers

We Know Lakewood CO

The typical home value in Lakewood sits around $573,000, and roughly 58 percent of homes here are owner occupied. These are people who have settled in and plan to stay, so a kitchen remodel is a genuine investment in the home they live in every day.

The median Lakewood home was built in 1977, and much of the city went up between 1970 and 1999. That tells us a lot about what we see when we walk into kitchens here. Original developer-grade cabinets, closed-off layouts, and finishes that were chosen for cost rather than longevity, now well past their prime.

At about 5,519 feet, with Green Mountain rising along the western edge of town, Lakewood gets the same dry winters and afternoon monsoon summers as the rest of the Front Range. That humidity cycle puts real stress on cabinet materials. Plywood box construction handles it better than particleboard, and stained finishes tend to hold longer than painted ones in dry air. Our NKBA Member designer factors all of this into every specification before an order is placed.

Why Choose Kitchens Elevated?

Lakewood has real remodeling options, and many of them are good. Most point you to a showroom floor or a catalog and ask you to picture the rest. We start somewhere different. We start in your home.

We are an NKBA Member design studio, and our designer visits your Lakewood kitchen first, designs around how your household actually cooks and lives, and specifies every cabinet and finish before a single order is placed. That order matters, and it is what keeps the result personal instead of generic.

No two Lakewood kitchens are alike, so we never reuse a template. Your design starts from your space and your needs.

We plan the work triangle, storage, and flow around the way you actually use the room, not a stock layout.

Honest advice, no pressure, and no sales pitch. The conversation leads, and your vision leads the conversation.

NKBA membership and a licensed, insured studio mean professional standards on every detail.

You work with people who care about getting it right, not a rotating cast of salespeople.

Easy Steps to a Kitchen Remodel You Will Love

Every kitchen remodel in Lakewood follows a clear, designer led path from your first in-home visit to the final installed cabinet.

Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeling in Lakewood, CO

1: Design Consultation

It all starts with your vision.

We visit your Lakewood home and spend real time in the kitchen. Most Lakewood kitchens were built during rapid growth years with layouts that were never designed around how families actually cook today. We measure, assess, and identify those gaps before making a single recommendation. No obligation, no pressure.

2: Tailored Planning and Selections

We handle every detail.

You visit our Boulder showroom at 1600 38th St, about 25 minutes via CO 119. Cabinet finishes, door styles, and hardware seen and touched in person before any decision is committed to. For Lakewood homeowners replacing builder-grade cabinetry, seeing the difference in person consistently changes how confident they feel about every selection that follows.

3: Remodeling and Installation

Watch your kitchen come to life.

We source through our curated vendor network and coordinate installation alongside your Lakewood contractor. The same designer who measured your kitchen oversees the handoff. At completion every cabinet is reviewed against the original specification.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Kitchen Remodel in Lakewood Co

It depends on the scope, the materials you choose, and the condition of your existing kitchen, so there is no single number that fits every home. Material costs, from cabinetry and countertops to flooring, significantly affect the budget. We give you a clear, detailed estimate with no hidden costs after we see your space, and we always advise setting aside a contingency fund so unexpected expenses never derail the project.

Yes. In-home consultations are how we start every Lakewood project. We come to your home, walk the space, take measurements, and talk through how you cook and live, all at no cost and with no pressure. Meeting in your actual kitchen lets us design around your real space and routine instead of a showroom floor. Call or text (303) 717-2355 to set a time.

Yes. We work with homeowners across Lakewood and the wider Jefferson County area, including Belmar, Green Mountain, Applewood, and Eiber. Our design studio is highly rated on Google, with clients praising the design vision, the quality craftsmanship, and how genuinely heard they felt. Ask to see our project gallery during your free consultation, and we are happy to talk through the kind of project you are planning.

Yes on all three. We are a licensed and insured kitchen design contractor, and we are a member of the NKBA, the National Kitchen and Bath Association, which is the professional standard for kitchen and bath designers. Those credentials mean your project is handled with professional-grade layout, specification, and accountability from the first visit through your final cabinet order.

It runs in clear steps. First, an in-home design consultation evaluates your workflow and storage needs while we listen and measure. Next, we design your layout with 3D visualizations and blueprints and specify every cabinet and finish, reviewing clear pricing before anything is ordered. Then we source the cabinetry and coordinate the handoff to your build partners. Steady project management keeps you informed from design through the final walkthrough.

Most kitchen remodels in Lakewood take several weeks to a few months, depending on the scope. The design and specification phase usually runs a few weeks, then cabinet lead times and the work that follows once construction begins add to the timeline. We give you a realistic schedule once your scope is set rather than a generic promise, so you always know what to expect at each stage.

Often, yes. Many kitchen remodels require permits when the work involves plumbing or electrical changes, and Lakewood handles building permits through the city, with the property sitting in Jefferson County. Renovations must comply with local building codes for safety and efficiency. As your design partner, we provide the detailed plans and specifications your build partners need to pull the right permits and keep the project moving.

Expect a relaxed, honest conversation, not a sales pitch. In your home, we look at your real space, measure, and talk through your workflow, appliance placement, and finish selections. In our Boulder showroom, you can see and touch finishes, compare door styles, and picture the result in person. Either way, an experienced NKBA Member designer guides the session and answers your questions without pressure.

We serve all of Lakewood and the surrounding Jefferson County area. That includes Belmar and Belmar Park (80226, 80214), Green Mountain and Solterra (80228, 80227), Applewood (80215, 80401), Eiber and Glennon Heights (80214, 80226), and Two Creeks and Southern Gables (80232, 80227). If you are nearby and do not see your neighborhood listed, call or text (303) 717-2355 and we will confirm coverage.

Our showroom is at 1600 38th St #101, Boulder, CO 80301, about 30 miles and roughly 40 minutes north of Lakewood. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM. You are welcome to visit to explore finishes and door styles in person, though most clients never need to make the trip because we bring the free consultation to your home. Call or text (303) 717-2355 to arrange either.
